Reports and Upcoming Dates

Reports

Lake Orovillen and other Foothill bass fisheries - Winter and early spring are prime time for spotted bass on Lake oroville and other foothill lakes. Fishing has been pretty darn good and with stable weather in the forecast fishing should be pretty consistant. Fish on Oroville are averaging 1-2 pounds but some bigger fish in the 3-5lb range should start to be in the mix as we move into late winter and early spring.
Winter Striper Fishing - it is no secret that the lower sac is an amazing year round striper fishery but winter rarely provides river conditions that allow fly anglers to get out on the water but with the mild winter we are having we have been getting out pretty frequently between storms. The river is in good shape and with steady weather forecasted for the foreseeable future. We are going to be getting out on the river ALOT. Winter is when we catch some of the biggest fish of the year and is truelly trophy hunting season for the anglers that have the patience.

Upcoming Dates

Spring and summer striper dates are filling up!!! If you are looking to get out this spring or summer get your date booked soon! Prime dates will fill up over the next few months. March-Sept

Spring Steelhead Dates - Swinging flies on the Lower Feather is a great way to get your switch, trout spey, or light spey rod out...The Lower Yuba River below Daguerre diversion dam is also a great place to swing flies during the spring months. While most of the fishing requires the ability to wade we do access the river via drift and jet boat so hiking is minimal. March- Mid May.
