Summer will be here VERY soon. Get your striper dates on the books!
Lower Sac Shad fishing - Shad are up through chico and fishing is good most evenings. Bit seems to be best between 1-5pm. As the days get warmer the bit may get later but as of now the late evening last light bite is not the best. There are some wading spots at Washout and off river road through Chico but as flows come up fishing from a boat will be best.

Lower Sac Striper Fishing - Fishing out of Colusa for migratory fish is still going fair with some good days and some slower days. Just depends on the water and air temps from what I have heard. A couple good buddies and guides have had good days and tough days so getting towards the end of the run but the cooler milder weather will keep it going for a bit longer I think.
Lower Yuba Trout fishing - Yuba River is around 2700cfs which is a great flow. Great for wading various spots and fishing from the boat. Talked to a good buddy who guided it this last week and had a decent day even in the wind. As long as the temps stay mild fishing should be decent all day and hatches should be good. May and June can be great trout fishing on the Lower Yuba River.
New Music - So I have purchased Apple Music and my level of new music consumption is insane...way to much to write about in a blog post based on the ease and freedom to download and listen to ANYTHING!!!! That said on the forefront of releases I am pumped for the June 1 American Aquirium Release and just purchased my Pre-Order of the new Lucero Album that will be coming out August 3. Lucero will also be playing with Frank Turner on fathers day in SF at the Warfield...Trying to see if I can pull that off as a Fathers Day Present to myself.
My band Royals Oaks has a few shows coming up over the next few weeks if anyone wants to drink some domestic light lagers and watch us do our thing...
In other music news Steph and I went down to Harlows this weekend to watch the Built To Spill play. Built to Spill is one of the bands that we both LOVE and have for over a decade now to be honest. I have lost track how many times we have seen them play but this was not one of the best...Totally get every band has good and bad nights and the more you see a band the more you role the dice you may see an off night...well we saw and off night. That and I was a bit bummed they played as a three piece. Last show we saw them play at Harlows they played as a 5 piece which was by far the best show of theirs we have ever seen so coming off that was tough. Still love the band and just stocked that they are still touring and making music and giving my wife and I the opportunity to see them.
